Mr. Adam Connaghan a Grade 10 student at Holy Rosary High School. Adam is passionate about media and advertising and will be one of our go to guys when it comes to tech. It is great to have you back this year Adam!
Hopefully you have watched our latest mental health video, "In It Together." We know Miss Aubree Tourand is going to be a great fit on the you council because she has already shown her passion to reduce stigma around mental health! Aubree is a Grade 10 student at Holy Rosary and we are so excited to see what she will bring to council this year. Aubree is also NEWLY named an Executive on our Council as Treasurer. Congratulations Aubree.
Mr Adam Krahn is a fun loving guy who has amazing ideas and is definitely not afraid to take on challenges. Last year he even planed a sporting events for kids solo. This Grade 11 student from the Lloydminster Comp is always there to lend a helping hand if needed. Also, he has a lead on us using a taco truck for events this year. Amazing right? Welcome Adam!
We are excited to see those two interests work together this year. Blake is a Grade 9 student at College Park and he has a passion for charity, environment and humanitarian work! We can't wait to see all you accomplish this year.
She is also Chair of the FCSS Committee in Lloydminster for a second term. Truly remarkable. Our Vice Chair this year is Miss Amy Levesque. Amy is a grade 11 student at holy rosary high school and this is her 3rd year on council. Amy is always there whenever you need her, she has a passion to do good in her community! She puts others needs over her own and always goes above and beyond what is asked.
Miss Cassidy Schmeltzer’s application blew us away. She is a Grade 9 student at Holy Rosary High School. She is a dancer who wants to make positive change and we are excited to see her use her passion on council this year! She is already working with Kim Capiral of Narra Studios to create our next video surrounding mental health. Welcome Cassidy!
Miss Clara Eben is a Grade 10 student at Holy Rosary High School. She is already having a positive impact on the community as she is a regular volunteer at furbabies. She’s an excellent problem solver and we look forward to utilizing those skills on Council.
Miss Lara Pavo is our secretary for this year! Lara is such a kind soul who always comes up with brilliant ideas. This is also Lara’s 3rd year serving on council and we feel so lucky to have her with us! Lara is not only a council member she is also a dancer and a Grade 11 student at Holy Rosary High School and a leader at her church.
One of our best events last year was the drive in movie we hosted! We had 100s of people come out for 3 even shows and there’s no person on this planet that can park big trucks in a safety vest and walkie talk like this returning council member Miss Clare Weaver, she sells the best eggs in town and is such a kind soul! She is reliable and sweet and is going to do great things in this world. Clare is a Grade 11 student at Holy Rosary High School. We’re looking to advertise the council more this year and Clare is definitely going to be a big part on that!
Miss Leah Baker is a Grade 12 student from Lloyd Comp. Leah is an incredible digital artist and she has the best positive energy and attitude! We cannot wait to see her talents shine as we promote events this year!
This next member absolute blew us all away with her interview! When she walked out of the room we were all flipping through the page to find out what grade she was in, to our disbelief she wasn’t in Grade 12. Miss Gracie Lilienskold is a Grade 9 student from College Park and she is poised, confident and passionate and shared with us many ways she hoping to impact our community even more on council this year! We now welcome you to officially be sworn in to the Lloydminster Youth Council this year!
Mr. Million Tirfe impressed us with his confidence the moment he walked into his interview and he asked us some great questions. Million loves working with kids especially through sport and we can’t wait to watch him use those talents this year!
This next council member has such a fire within her for inclusion and diversity. Miss Mya Hein has a beautiful quiet nature about her and her voice is powerful and confident too! Mya is a Grade 9 student at Holy Rosary High School this year!
Miss Skye Pavo is a Grade 9 student from Holy Rosary. She is an amazing dancer with a wonderful personality! Skye looks forward to helping out her community and making her own mark on council as her two sisters were integral on council.
Our Vice Chair for this term is Miss Olivia Brockhoff. Olivia has a passion within her to always do good! She’s always on board for anything and is the best person to bounce ideas off because she always has such great input and ways to improve things! Olivia is a Grade 12 student at Holy Rosary High School and she is also the founder of Project PJ by Olivia! What is Project PJ? An annual PJ drive where Olivia collects thousands of jammies for children at Stollery Children's Hospital. WOW!
This next council member is sweet beyond words and her good heart shows immediately upon meeting her. Miss Taryn Rawlake is a Grade 10 Holy Rosary Raider student athlete. She is passionate about sports and getting Lloydminster moving!
Now, our Chair! Miss Rylee-Grace Wood. Rylee is a Grade 12 student from Holy Rosary High School. She is an incredibly passionate ball player. She loves sports, family and staying true to herself. She is welcoming, fun, kind and confident. Last year when we were able to meet again the Youth Council had a short period of time to pull off some massive goals. Rylee believes in herself and the power of youth and even when things look hard, she doesn’t back down. Not only did she contribute a great day to each event planned last year but she showed such leadership, it is no doubt she was voted in as CHAIR!
The power in which Mr Turner Harnett speaks and presents himself definitely impressed us in his interview. This Grade 10 student from the Lloydminster Comp is not only a member of our Council this year and he also shows great leadership qualities when working with kids at his church. Turner has a passion for helping others and is not afraid to use his voice for good!
This next council member is one that we will get to say “we knew her when” we believe Miss Udaya Reddy’s writing is going to take her far! Not only does she have a strong voice herself but she has a passion for helping others find theirs! Udaya has also co-founded the Lloydminster Comp news paper. WOW! Amazing.
Mr. William Kerschbaumer is a soft spoken Grade 10 student attending Holy Rosary High School. He is hoping to really help Lloydminster as a community recover from the pandemic. It is great to have you back this year William!
Mr. Mattias Larsson is passionate about giving everyone a voice! This Grade 9 College Park students is so excited to help out his community! He is confident and has such great ideas for Lloydminster.
